Sumter, SC Photography: Anna Beth

Anna Beth and I grew up in the same church and have known each other for probably 6 or 7 years. She is a wonderful violinist + she's beautiful so I got super excited when we started talking about doing a violin/nature portrait session. We literally spent weeks trying to make this shoot happen. With all of the crazy weather we've been having lately it took a long time to actually be able to go out and shoot. We would set a date and it would rain...every single time. Even if it hadn't rained in 2 weeks, if we set a date, it would rain. I think we were both starting to get a little bit discouraged after a couple of weeks but in the end I'm so glad that it worked out the way that it did. When we finally got together, the weather was perfect, the sun was beautiful and the horses were ready to fill in the background. This afternoon was so much fun and I'm really, really happy with the way the shots turned out. Have a look...

I loved the idea of taking her violin outside to shoot. We actually did a studio session with her violin too which I'll be sure and post soon. I think this violin shot is my favorite!

I wasn't the only one who loved shooting with Anna Beth. This chicken followed her everywhere!! I had to crop his tail feathers out of so many pictures...his little rear has kept me laughing all afternoon. Once during the shoot we walked about 100 yards away from where we did most of our shooting and I guess the chicken didn't see us leave but once he figured out we were gone he came RUNNING at full chicken speed across the field straight towards us. It was hilarious!

  2. Your friend is beautiful and you have done an amazing job of capturing that beauty! I think i agree about the photo you picked for your favorite. The way the light of the sun shines around her hair looks angelic. Very nice job! Would love to see more of your work. :)
