Labor Day Fun

Photobucket

HeyMatthew and I headed back to our homeland for a weekend packed full of Labor Day fun! We got into town on Friday and I immediately met up with my nanny friends Christine and Carrie for dinner. The three of us met years ago when we all worked for families of kids that were in the same class and even though jobs (and locations) have changed, we have all stayed close. They are my friends that I can literally say ANYTHING to and not have to worry what they'll think or who they'll tell. We've got secrets in that group and I like that. Christine just bought a new house so after dinner I headed over there to see the place and have some dessert. I've missed them both so much and really only talk to them through text so it was great to be able to see them in person.
Saturday morning we had the chance to catch up with more of our favorites when we met our friends Rob and Amy for breakfast at the Lost Dog Cafe on Folly Beach. Rob is one of my friends from photo school and his girlfriend Amy is my former gym/shopping buddy + they both love food as much as we do so we always have a blast together. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that this was my first trip to Lost Dog Cafe. It was soooo delicious. Also, my camera which came back repaired from Canon (for the 3rd time) quit on me again so all of these photos are from my phone or a cheap plastic camera and discount Walgreens film. Just bear with me. New camera will be here this week.

Matthew's family had a Labor Day cookout on Saturday afternoon and we had the best time swimming and eating. Oh, the food! Matthew's family always has SOOO much delicious food every time we see them. I totally fell of the Weight Watchers train and ended up gaining over 3 pounds during Labor Day weekend. I'm not complaining about that, I'm just trying to explain how good the food is around that house! It was so much fun!!

Sunday afternoon we grabbed a quick bite to eat with Matthew's other set of parents (love them!!) and headed back to town. It was an absolutely amazing weekend! I wish we could spend all of our days vacationing (and eating) with friends and family.
